At Global Childcare Centre, we offer a four week rotating menu. Staff tries to
ensure that all children are seated whilst consuming food and drink. Children
are not to be forced to eat when they do not feel like, only on parent request.
Staff ensures that meal times are pleasant, enjoyable and an opportunity for
positive interaction. If a child has special dietary requirements, parents are
required to list them on the enrolment form and tell the staff about it. We have
a strict policy of NO NUT PRODUCT.
The centre will provide two nutritious snacks. The first between 7:15 am to 9:00
and the second from 3:30 to 4:00 pm. Lunch will take place from 11:35 to
12:15 pm. The snacks provide by the centre are based on the Canadian
Food Guide. Microwave is provided by the centre for use by the staff and for the
comfort of the children. No child is permitted to use the microwave or stove.
The centre provides milk everyday to supplement lunch. Upon enrolment, a letter
or pamphlet detailing (describing) the food
menu available at the daycare centre will be sent to parents. To make sure
children meals are in accordance with the Canadian food guide, (contain all
groups of food),
- Staff will from time to time make a follow up during lunch and snack time to
see that children have all required food elements in fair quantity.
- A notice
will be sent to parents whose children have meals not in accordance with the
Canadian food guide.
